Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Friends!

Munchkin was a big help with cooking this year! She made Daddy's pumpkin pie!
We celebrated the new American way- with technology! Dinner with Gramma, Grandpa, & AhHa
It was all fun and games until Munchkin got too big of a mouthful and gagged a little, which turned into an all out throwing up all over the table. They got to just watch and laugh. Munchkin was fine, but she did lose her pretty dress to the laundry.
 Silly family photo
 There's a pretty one!

Christmas is coming!

Santa came to town tonight!! We went to dinner and then the Christmas Tree lighting where Santa made an appearance. These are our twin friends that go to school with Munchkin. It's helpful to have tall daddies at a parade.
It was very very cold waiting for the parade to start.
Mom, when's Santa coming?
Here comes Santa!!!!
Christmas tree lighting!! Munchkin maintained this face for the whole event.
 Fun fireworks!

 Merry Christmas!

First Haircut

The mullet got to be too much. We just decided it was time to get rid of the stragglers. It's shorter, but it's even all the way across now.

Thankfulness

First of all, I forgot to show you this picture of when AhHa was here. When I say that Munchkin walked all over her, I mean that literally. Moving on...
November is flying by! Munchkin had school pictures taken at Mrs. Katie's. This was her precious outfit!
Munchkin also did this this weekend.
I came in to get her in the morning and she let me know that the lotion on her dresser was stuck. What she meant was that she had gotten the Vasoline and her thermometer, and had been stirring it up and using it on herself as lotion. The thermometer was naturally stuck (digital side stuck in the goo) in the jar, and she put it back onto her dresser so that she would not be in trouble and got back into bed. Her hair still looks like its been weeks since she's had a bath.
She still loves singing and dancing and I caught her newest move on tape. Naturally, it's to the Roar song- her favorite. It's kind of a longer clip, but she dances through the whole thing!

In the realm of news updates: I have one that I want to shout from the rooftops but is definitely Facebook inappropriate! Munchkin has been doing awesome with potty training! It's been 4 days and she has had only 2 accidents and been dry all waking hours! She tells us when she has to go, or when we ask. She has a harder time with the things that are obviously harder (bms, nap time, etc), but she's trying. We've been talking a lot about "big girls" and "big sisters" going potty and new babies using diapers. She's pretty proud of herself and so are we! I fully expect that we aren't 'out of the woods' yet, but her moments of progress are getting better and longer. Which is good because she has 6 months until we have to take away her diapers for Munchkin v.2.

The magician and her assistants

This is Munchkin's new magic trick. As you can see, she needs to work on her presentation.
Here's her lovely assistants

HDBD

Guess what day it is? Hump Day Bump Day is back! Now that we've "gone public" with our fabulous baby news I can start posting things to the blog. Now, I can't promise that there will be weekly pictures again, because doing this with a 2yr old is a lot harder than doing it without.
Well, this is me at 13weeks…. annnnd at 22 weeks with Munchkin.
Sigh, to be fair, I had a small head start on this one, but still.

Also, last time I got to wear pjs SOOO much more. Wearing work clothes all the time is WAY less comfortable. Just so you know. Being a grad student did have its perks, and yes that is a staff bathroom at the preschool. You have a picture, you're welcome.

Here's Munchkin getting ready to call Nana and Gramma and Grandpa way back when.
We caught an awesome Nana face
Gramma and Grandpa were too busy saying hi to Munchkin to read her shirt. :) They screamed right after this, but I missed it with the camera.
 So we made a sign
But we also took a sneaky picture of the family holding our "pumpkins". Get it?
Here's Coco at 12.5 weeks! We have a thumb sucker and a baby that does NOT like to be disturbed when they are sleeping. It was pretty cute. We won't get another picture until after Christmas.

Playing with AhHa

Treats only

Happy Halloween candy crash Day! Munchkin had a great time last night and I didn't get that many pictures. I think Mrs. Katie got one of the 4 of us so I'll watch for that. We went over to our older twin friends house and had dinner with their neighborhood, watched a magic show, and went to a few houses trick-or-treating. Munchkin is very slow and cautious, so the twins would do 2-3 houses in the time she did 1. :) oh well, she loved going to see Mrs. Katie. Then we came back and handed out candy which she enjoyed even more. She would wave frantically at kids coming and then yell at them, "hey guys, we have more candy!!" Then she proceeded to drop a single piece in each bag. Soooo we have a lot leftover. Oh well, I was proud of her for interacting with the dressed up kids, she is pretty wary of costumes. AhHa brought fairy wings and tiaras for she and Lady, and then AhHa and Munhkin made mister a crown. It was awesome.  One more of my two sweeties.
She actually didn't have that much candy between a sucker, some goldfish, and a half eaten milk dud. Wouldn't know it by this picture though, would you?
