She's Here!

Coco made her grand arrival! I''ll work on lots of posts in the next few days, but here's one to kick it off. We went in to the hospital for an induction at 39 weeks, 1 day, after being in early labor for about 2 weeks with regular contractions and good progress, just nothing intense enough to push over the edge.
This is before meds, waiting on the doctor.
Somewhere between pitocin/finally getting some stronger contractions and epidural stage, Mister found a wayward balloon on one of our walks around the L&D ward. It was on the ceiling, without a string, just challenging him. I believe there was a rolling stool involved, but in any case, he retrieved it and kept it as a present for Munchkin later.
yadda yadda yadda... ouch that sucks a lot, epidural, jello, pushing, BABY!
Coco arrived at 6pm on the dot weighing in at 8lbs even, and 19.5" long. She came in a much less dramatic fashion than Munchkin and cried right away. Mister got to cut the cord.
Here she is snuggling Daddy before getting to meet Munchkin. (more on that later)
Overall, this labor took about 10hrs with significantly less pushing time and and happy and healthy little girl and momma.

The Last One

Here's your final picture Nana, as requested. 39 weeks today. Coco will be joining us via induction tomorrow. Mommy is very very ready. It's been a long two weeks of making really great progress and yet not getting over that hump to get us to the hospital. My Dr said Monday, 'Well, now either it will be God's timing, or I'll help you on Thursday'. Coco is doing awesome and estimating around 8.5lbs. I'm counting on that big belly of hers to be throwing off the weight estimate. :)
