Staying up late

We went swimming tonight to wear Munchkin out and executed her normal routine of bedtime about 7. When we hit about 8:30 and she was still singing in bed, we checked the monitor again and she had opened the curtains next to her pack-n-play. I went in to pick her up and tell her bed time and she smiled wide and made a shake face  (shaking face really fast with loose jaw to make funny faces). So we let her get up for a bit and she picked up her book and gave it to Daddy to read. They reviewed her signs for about 20 minutes, we watched gymnastics and practiced her 'ta da' and sent her back to bed. Here's hoping!
Daddy also taught her how to do Eskimo kisses. :) Presh!

Moving on

Well, Munchkin, Lady & Mister have moved on to new places and new things. Munchkin went to Mrs. Michelle's house while we packed and loaded all of her stuff. She thought it was pretty cool when the house was empty and she could run from one side to the other without stopping or steering.

Then we loaded the car and headed off. Munchkin was amazing once again. We're in so much trouble next time around.
We spend the second night in Indianapolis and got upgraded to a penthouse suite.
Munchkin loved the patio, but the sun was awfully bright.

Then next morning we went to the Children's Museum. We were a little disappointed because their major toddler section was under construction, but Munchkin still had fun.

Playing in the big legos. She loved this part.
First Mommy climbed in and helped her build a tower and after that she crawled off and played on her own.

After 4 days we finally arrived and starting a new chapter in our world.

Since we've been home

We've been finding all kinds of things to entertain us during the day while we slowly pack what we can. A blessing and a curse, they're coming to pack us, which means that there's nothing to do, but pack what we need for the next three weeks. But all of that is the stuff we use daily! Ugh, the control freak in me is going nuts. Munchkin is enjoying playing in the mess, as shown by this video.
Diving into pillows is a trick that her Daddy has been teaching her, and after a week and a half at the hotel she thinks it's a GREAT game! She found her tutu that had been washed to go down to the basement for packing and brought it to me to put on her. She ran around the house in it for a while and then I tried to take it off because it creates a pretty big halo around her. She fussed and grabbed it and held it back up to her waist for me to tie on. haha Crazy girl.
Check out our mad spoon skills! She has really started to get good at doing things on her own to help out. She helps put things in the washer and dryer, wants to sweep, and helps put clothes away. It's all "very" helpful, really sweet, and takes 5 times as long. Oh well, sweet moments.

Hope you like corn!

Nebraska here we come! We just got back from our house hunting trip and we had an incredibly successful trip. We bought a house, got home insurance, registered for child care, met with Lady's boss,  bought a zoo membership, played with friends, and started church shopping! We didn't have a camera for most of these things, but here's what I have.

This is our new house! We won't get to move in for a while, but we're pretty excited about it!
The twins offered us a back carrier for the trip so Munchkin took the tour on Mister's back, but you will see that it didn't last long. Surprise surprise, she wanted to walk.
Helping Daddy check out the alarms
And we're done with the carrier. Munchkin LOVES taking the stairs and she enjoyed playing with Mrs. Lisa. She has a little boy that is the Munchkin's age, so she wasn't phased at all and sacrificed her jewelry for Munchkin's entertainment frequently.
Munchkin decided this should be her room. It had lots of pink in it. Too bad we didn't pick this house.
Corralling so that we could have a conversation. Fortunately the water was off.

Munchkin's new daycare. We are really pleased with this place even though it wasn't what my original goal was. They have a really great program and they'll let us use our cloth diapers! The other kids in Addy's class are super smart like her and she will be with 2 12month olds, 2 13month olds, and a 15month old. Mrs. Sarah is pretty excited for her to come play!

Splish Splash

Munchkin FINALLY decided she like her sunglasses! She pulled them out of the closet and wanted to wear the around the house.
Playing with Daddy in the splash park at our future home
These splashes were bigger than the ones a few weeks ago, so Munchkin was a little intimidated at first. She finally put her hands in the spray towards the end. Lady and Mister both got sunburned in the process.
